Prime Surfing Season

Surfing in Egypt provides more favorable conditions than many might anticipate. Northern swells traverse an impressive distance, though their consistency can be unpredictable and occasionally wind-affected. As Egypt hasn't quite made its mark on the surfing world, surfers venturing here are likely to garner attention. Even during the prime surf months (from November to May), you'll typically find waves reaching up to waist height. Expect around 2 to 3 quality surf days in a week. Enjoy the year-round warm waters; in November, a shorty wetsuit will suffice, but by the cooler February waters (16°C), a 3/2 wetsuit becomes essential.
